What is Rudy Day ? .....

I've always enjoyed Christmas. The decorations, the flurry and, of course, the real meaning but always felt let down on December 26. It was all over in a flash. All the planning and doing was gone in a minute. Finally I found the OC ...not the tv show but the Organized Christmas website which led to the Magical Holiday Home Forum. I don't even know how I found it but I did. And they had this wonderful thing called Rudolph Day....Rudy Day to most of us.....that lets you think, plan, dream about Christmas at least once a month on the 25th. And the best thing was I found more people out there just like me ! Crazy about all things Christmas. Well, almost obsessive. But to my family and friends that think I'm nuts half the time, I just want you to know there is no cure for it so don't try to find one. I wouldn't want the cure if you could find one anyway.

March Rudy Day.....

I now have time to get on the Rudy Day bandwagon and will start posting again on this blog....at least on or near the 25th.

I sat in my new bedroom last night watching Home Alone 2 - Lost in New York. It wasn't the movie on the "official" Christmas list over at MHH. That was White Christmas but my DVD player doesn't work on the archaic tv we have in our bedroom so I am limited to whatever is on cable. Glad a semi-Christmas movie was on. I finally got around to checking off which Christmas cards I received this past year. I have about 7 on the list that I received from but didn't send to. I probably need to add them to the send list for this coming year. But there were many more that I sent to and didn't receive.

I also FINALLY put the binding on this quilt from this past year. This is a picture of it without the binding. The binding is the same green fabric that I used for one of the borders. I put on my other blog that I would put the binding on the weekend after I posted about it.....way back in January. Guess I told a little fib. Glad the blog and quilting police don't know where I live!

I'll have to post later what my plans for April Rudy Day are.....'cause I don't know myself!

Blessings, Cathi
