What is Rudy Day ? .....

I've always enjoyed Christmas. The decorations, the flurry and, of course, the real meaning but always felt let down on December 26. It was all over in a flash. All the planning and doing was gone in a minute. Finally I found the OC ...not the tv show but the Organized Christmas website which led to the Magical Holiday Home Forum. I don't even know how I found it but I did. And they had this wonderful thing called Rudolph Day....Rudy Day to most of us.....that lets you think, plan, dream about Christmas at least once a month on the 25th. And the best thing was I found more people out there just like me ! Crazy about all things Christmas. Well, almost obsessive. But to my family and friends that think I'm nuts half the time, I just want you to know there is no cure for it so don't try to find one. I wouldn't want the cure if you could find one anyway.

Oops, I forgot.....

I forgot to show what I did during the Christmas in July party. Silly me!

This is a picture of just one section of my notebook.....the decorating section. I had all the pictures printed a few weeks ago and finally put them in my notebook. I have a page in page protectors of all the decorations I put up for two reasons.

First, I put notes next to each picture of what I like and don't like or what needs to be fixed or bought. It helps with shopping BEFORE I even take decorations Thanksgiving weekend. And if I want to make something for a particular spot......

Secondly, if I can get someone....anyone....to help put the decorations up, they have an idea of what goes where. It's better than yelling from another floor or another room, "Hey, Cathi, where does this go?!". And someone could help out if I'm not even home!! There's a concept. I'm not naming names, I'm just saying.......

I keep a photo album of my decorations. Putting little notes next to the pics is a great idea. I need to do that.

Hmmm..I do good to get it up and then back down again, and then I don't want to see it again until the next year. Very nice organization you have there though.

Hey Cathi

I'm still getting around to visiting all my friends. It looks like you all had a great time.

We were in OC Maryland from the 25th - 1st. The girlfriends came too. Not too much Christmas prep, but lot's of fun in the sun.

I did manage to get to The Country House in Salisbery MD and bought a few Christmas gifts and a new Patriotic Belsnickle for my collection.

Enjoy!
