What is Rudy Day ? .....

I've always enjoyed Christmas. The decorations, the flurry and, of course, the real meaning but always felt let down on December 26. It was all over in a flash. All the planning and doing was gone in a minute. Finally I found the OC ...not the tv show but the Organized Christmas website which led to the Magical Holiday Home Forum. I don't even know how I found it but I did. And they had this wonderful thing called Rudolph Day....Rudy Day to most of us.....that lets you think, plan, dream about Christmas at least once a month on the 25th. And the best thing was I found more people out there just like me ! Crazy about all things Christmas. Well, almost obsessive. But to my family and friends that think I'm nuts half the time, I just want you to know there is no cure for it so don't try to find one. I wouldn't want the cure if you could find one anyway.

Did you see? . . . . .

The top of this blog says there are only 61 days left until Christmas!  Oh, my .....
So to recap, the last Christmas crafting party didn't go as well as the first.  It was supposed to start at 10:00 but no one showed up until 12:30.  Then I spent a good bit of time "catering" to the daughters and a guest . . . . .you, know . . . . hey, mom, do you have an extra pair of scissors? - put my stuff down, go find the scissors, get back in the chair, pick up my handwork, . . . . hey, Cathi, I forgot my ecru floss, do you have any? - put my stuff down, go upstairs to get my floss stash, get back in the chair, pick up my handwork . . . . hey, mom, can I borrow your Ott light? mine is in the car . . . . . repeat, repeat, repeat.

Last month I was out of town for Rudy day at a quilt show.

Today I am home and getting ready for another show BUT I am sneaking in some Rudy anyway.  I HAVE to.  We are running out of time, people!

So what are these pictures on today's post?  Just random things I happen to have that are Christmas-y on this laptop.  My PC has all but shown the blue screen of death so I am working from my laptop for now.  Hoping Computer Geek can come over and get it up and running enough to back up one more time before we send it to the computer graveyard.  I did some backups last week but not of the emails, and contact lists.

Maybe I need to ask for a new computer from Santa!  Have a happy and productive Rudy Day!

Blessings, Cathi

Yay! It really is coming isn't it. I'm headed to the Rheumatolgist again tomorrow they're thinking it's fibromyalgia. So that may put a damper on a lot of my baking and crafting. I have to pace myself or I go whacky.

Enjoy your week!
